To work as an RN in Saudi Arabia you have to register with their Nursing Council -Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS). This is equivalent of SANC in South Africa.
Since the beginning of 2019 there has been a major overhaul of the system registration system for Health practitioners ( similar to SANC) The aim is to improve the application process and to avoid delay in completion of the process when you start work.
There is a change of order in how we apply now. First, you must have your documents verified by an independent online company called DATAFLOW. We upload your qualifications, license, and proof of current employment onto the site. The DATAFLOW company then contacts the study/work organizations to confirm the documents are genuine.
Once that is done we upload your details on to the SCHS Online portal called MUMARIS PLUS. We will be accessing this portal on your behalf ie registering your details and tracking your application.
We will get eligibility for you to write the Nursing test. Once that is completed you will be given a nursing classification on the system ie Registration. Then you are ready to practice as an RN in Saudi Arabia.
